Development of Potential RNA based Therapeutic Agents

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) targeting pathways of human disease provide a new and potential powerful candidate for therapeutic intervention against various diseases. Our group is trying to decipher the mechanism of action, the ability to function as master regulators of the genome and an apparent lack of adverse events in normal tissue,which make microRNA a promising technology for current and future therapeutic development. Ineterestingly, we are involved in using this tiny riboswitches as a targeted immunomodulators for various discorders

Development of DNA based Diagnostics for important societal health problem

Understanding the disease architecture and possible multiomics and systems biology interventions towards the discovery of new molecular targets for effective vaccine candidates. Our group is trying to develop a complete cascade of information on diseases like leptospirosis, MDR and various Cancers and make an attempt to understand the metadata of genomes, epigenomes and proteomes towards host-pathogen relationship & molecular pathways involved, which may translate into valuable products for the society.

Translational Bioinformatics & Systems Biology for Environment and Industrial solutions

Currently, Biotechnology and Life sciences sector is completely dependent on the Bioinformatics as a major driver. There is a huge demand of need-based tool/software/pipeline/database for each type of biological data analysis and contributes major market as well. It will help to facilitate processing, analysis, and management of large data sets for human welfare. Our group is trying to look into the Big Data of bioresources and analyse extensively in all levels of genomics, metabolomics and proteomics for valuable enzymes, genes, proteins and metabolites which may use for various industrial and environmental applications.
